Why no ratings on the new console teardowns?

Starting with the Dell Streak teardown I remember you guys planned on rating on a scale of 1-10 everything you teardown on ease of taking apart. But I've noticed you haven't been doing this for the retro gaming consoles- is there a reason for that?

I'm assuming that's because the retro console Teardowns are more of a "fun" thing. Whereas most of our teardowns are "hey, look at all the newest technology that's crammed into this device," the retro console teardowns are "hey, look how they made these back in the day."

So you have no intention of selling parts and/or creating repair guides for the retro consoles?

The parts are very difficult to source, and not much market for them. I found the The Odyssey 100 at a local swap meet for $0.25 very dusty with the end of the video cable missing, and donated it for the teardown. The other consoles I'm sure came from similar unreliable parts channels.

No, we do not plan on selling parts for those. The community is more than welcome to make the guides to fix them, though!
