iPhone 5S battery strips pricing?

I've used this wonderful site and its parts to fix dozens of iPhones for friends and colleagues, mostly because I truly believe in iFixit's "repair saves the planet" ethos.

So, the iPhone 5S battery part options have left me confused.

I don't need the whole kit because I have more suction cups and screwdrivers from previous repairs than I know what to do with... but I do need the adhesive strips. However, purchasing just the adhesive strips separately costs more than the price difference between the whole kit and the 'part only' option... which seems very unFixit-like to me. Are there more strips? Are they better? There is no information I can see on the adhesive strip part page to explain...

Wouldn't it be better to include the strips with the "part only" option? It's not like they're tools - they're a consumable part of the install. I hate to think of people buying a kit version with landfill bound parts they don't need... like I just had to...

The strips included in the kit are the same as the ones we sell separately. We discount the items in Fix Kits heavily to lower the barrier to fixing devices for those who might not have the required tools in their toolbox.
