Ifixit query regarding deleted questions

Hi,

Could someone verify that my conclusion to the following is correct?

Yesterday I responded to a question on the Ifixit forum. My answer contained 2 technical solutions for the questioner to try and see if it would resolve their problem, plus a suggestion if the two proffered solutions did not succeed to seek a quote for professional technical help which may or may not have solved the problem and there was also a reminder to check the warranty status of her device.

When I logged on this morning, I received 2 notifications. One that the answer had been accepted and the second that there was a comment from the questioner. When I tried to review the question/answer, I received the following message

The questioner's response notifications are still in the 'Activity' area of my profile, but 'clicking' on them gives the same result.

My conclusion is that the questioner accepted my answer and then deleted the question. Is this correct?

If this is not correct could somebody please explain what could have occurred.

That's probably a good guess. If you have a link to the (deleted) post, that would help me track it down. Let me take a look and get back to you soon!

Hi Kyle,

Thanks for that. Still intrigued, that it shows as 'Chosen Solution' but with 0 (zero) Answers. But hey as you say now there is a known working solution available to all. Thanks once again.

Its' happened again. This time by @kenziecolson, 3rd latest notification in my profile, when I wrote this. I guess that I must be starting to attract the 'excitable' ones.

We just fixed the 0 Answers bug where the count was incorrect after a post had been un-deleted. Let me know if you spot any other bugs!

Hi Kyle,

Don't know if the following was involved with what you have just completed but regarding reputation points. One example from my activity tab. On 02/16/2016 the points stopped accruing for the day when they reached +158. The last one with a points value was only given a +2 even though it was well short of the daily allowance of 200 points. On that day there were two more answers which were voted up which received no points.

jayeff, somehow we have been dealing with this for a while. I still believe that this is caused by using 24 hours as a day but not following 0:00-23:59. I guess what I am trying to say is that you can get 200 points within any 24 hour time span,
