Where's the Apple Store on the Apple Web Site

I went to look for Apple batteries and accessories on the Apple Web site and the store is gone. Everything I see wants me to go to my local store which is 320 miles away. Today I just need a new OEM Battery A1322 for a customer and can't get it or any other batteries. Have they eliminated direct sales?

@Mayer - Here's the URL for the Apple Store; {http://www.apple.com/shop/mac/mac-access...|Mac Accessories]. Sadly, they have pulled the batteries for the older MacBooks & MacBook Pro's (removable).

Unfortunately, Apple's view is that if it's an internal battery, nobody outside of an Apple store or authorized service provider should touch it. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204054...

MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro computers with built-in batteries should only have their batteries replaced by an Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple Retail Store. Attempting to replace a built-in battery yourself could damage your equipment, and such damage is not covered by warranty.

These Mac notebooks have built-in batteries:

  • MacBook (13-inch, Late 2009) and later
  • All MacBook Air computers
  • All MacBook Pro computers with Retina display
  • MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2009) and later; MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2009) and later

Kind of puts a bad light on iFixit that we're to stupid to take thirteen screws out and unplug a battery. Maybe we should all just slash our wrists and say "Goodbye Cruel World". I wonder just how much they charge for their "expert service"?

Well, that's certainly one way to look at it. We prefer to look at it as our reason for existing. It's a fight that we're not ready to give up :)

Of course a 2009 is now considered a "legacy machine" and Apple won't work on it. The local ASP is having to send people to me because Apple won't sell them parts for older machines, not even 2010 machines ;-) This is what happens the "The Man" dies and the corporation starts running things.

I do know that the Store site is now baked into apple.com, but searching for batteries and other parts doesn't yield anything (either via google or their site search), so it doesn't look like they sell them?

I'd guess the next step would be calling a support number, either the site's or the closest Apple store (which may redirect you to a call center these days...). Maybe they'd be able to give you more info =(

Best of luck!
