Ps3 and ps4 no signal

I had a problem with ps3 not sending signal to tv and see alot of others having same problem when reseting output settings does not work the problem could be your hdmi cable know wait you will probley say ive change cables and still nothing but this is what i found with me having same problem with 3 different ps3 systems i took a better look at the hdmi cables i was hooking up and seen all were gold in color on the ends but one i hadnt tryed yet was silver well the silver one fixed all 3 systems if i hook up a gold one boom no signal ive been trying to fix this for over a year and tryed everything i could think of so if this helps someone els im shure they will mail me a letter telling me about there year long battle with this problem maby sony should send me a check for figuring out the problem they couldnt 537 roberts st. Would you mind doing a little work on this, so we know what you are talking about. It's just one long run on sentence and very difficult to understand. Please also include a link or two to what guide you are using.
