recieved notifications but not there

I was helping a person with a tablet and all was well but then I got notifications of comments but when I go to them there's no comment there

Hey @jimfixer, I'm trying to find your problem but am having some trouble. I'm seeing six notifications in your queue and six responses from that user (spiritflight22). Are you seeing something different?

@evan @jimfixer will not see the deleted comments. I do believe that the notification may have been send prior to those being deleted.

I thought that too, but it seems like there are no deleted comments on that post.

@evan all I see in the post are 2 comments from spitfire22 and in my notifications on my I have 7 notifications last one was 3 hours ago . OT mentioned they may have been deleted. do deleted comments stay in my notifications? Thanks for looking into this
