Today you released the tear down of the new MBP with touch bar. I would like to know what happens to the MacBook after the tear down. I just want to make sure it doesn't go to waste and if it is going to be recycled or thrown away I will gladly take it. I haven't had anything to fix for a few days and now I feel like my head is going to pop if I don't fix something haha

Not to worry—we definitely don't let our teardown devices go to waste. Oftentimes we will use them to create a full set of repair guides. We create some in-house and also send devices through our edu program to teach technical writing. You can learn more about that here. After that, we make sure they find a good home, or dispose of them responsibly.

Some times they stick them back in the box and return them (Apple Watch). Shame on ya'll for that ;-(

To be fair, no damage was done to the Apple Watch we returned. We didn't actually use it for the teardown! I had to return that one myself ;) @mayer
Ask around your school if anyone has a cracked phone digitizer and start your own business with those.
As to what happens to machine - iFixit sells parts ;-)

Check to see how much your local repair place is charging for the repair and undercut it a little. Then when your are finished, set up a Google business account and request that your customer leave you a review.
