ifixit battery pack. The electronic power control wont turn power on.

The electronic controls on my ifixit battery pack wont turn on the 5v dc usb out when I plug in a device to be charged. It also gives me weird hieroglyphics when I press the power on button. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

No model number on the battery pack, hopefully the link above will give the right information. Thanks for your help.
