Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out. This is an excellent question.

One factor to consider is the release dates of each model--the 6 was released in 2014, and the 6s a full year later in 2015. Parts get less expensive to source the older the phone model is (as a general rule, though there are always exceptions), so that could explain some of the price discrepancy.

I suspect that it has more to do with components, though. The home button link cable is basically tied to the 3D touch sensor sheet on the 6s, which makes for a more difficult manufacturing process AND a more difficult repair process. When you're repairing the iPhone 6, you can swap out the home button link cable. With the 6s, you can't. Or at least, we haven't been able to successfully remove that 3D touch sensor sheet without damaging it.

TL;DR: The components are more complex, and probably require a lot more time to fully assemble for sale.

To add to that, the 6s series has 3D touch functionality, which incorporates an entirely unique technology and component layer to the screen which didn't exist in previous generations.
