I will get emails about people talking in a conversation that I am involved in but not always notifications. I can't check my email all the time because it lags out and/or freezes sometimes so I rely on the notification to reply back to people. That way I can fix peoples' problems quicker. Wondering if I am doing something wrong

My name is Daryl and i am an Engineer at iFixit. We recently did some work to update and overhaul the notifications system. Here how it is supposed to work:
Your browser will maintain a connection to our server where new notifications are pushed to you while you are still on a page
When you reload a page, any notifications that you have not acknowledged are loaded with that page
I'm curious as to whether you may be experiencing some deeper problem. Your help could be invaluable!
If you can, please help us out by providing a little more information.
Are you not seeing the notifications after a page reload? Or are they only missing while you stay on the same page?
Which browser are you using? The version could be helpful too.
Does this always happen? Or is it an intermittent problem?
Either way, sorry to hear about your problem. I'll try my best to get this alleviated as fast as possible.

They are still being intermediate. I can just use my email, but it is delayed.
Hi Vader! There has always been a disparity (for me) between notifications vs. “new posts on topics you are following” emails. The emails tend to be a lot more comprehensive—showing replies to every topic I've followed or participated in, as opposed to just the few that I've authored. Is that what you are referring to? Just wondering if you noticed a recent change in how notifications work for you, or if they're working the same as ever but not necessarily working how you'd like.
Hi @jeffsu thanks for the response. Well, it is just that sometimes I get notifications for people that comment or reply on my answers, but not always. Is there certain comments on my answers that don't get notifications?
It is inconsistent. Just wondering if there was certain comments. I sometimes also get notifications for comments and answers not pertaining to my answer and/or comments, ( which can be annoying but sometimes helpful). I think I get all notification when my name is mentioned though.
