Why we cannot tag

We cannot tag everyone on the Answers Forum. Why ?

For example in this post someone asks Buddhika Mahesh for help.

I wanted to edit his post and tag Buddhika but is nowhere to be found wit the " @"

Any explanation?

Just wanted to better understand how the site works.

See, mine is @pccheese. If you typed @George A. it wouldn't tag me.

Options

Hi @soros! The unique username (@username) is still optional not everyone has one. Buddhika needs to go to his profile to apply one. I'll reach out to him!
