Does iFixit develop the Windows Phone app?
Since I had to temporarily switch phones due to my LG G4 having trouble getting signal despite finding nothing visual on the board when I took the phone apart to quickly inspect it for anything obvious. My situation with Android phones is also bleek (the phones are either unsafe to use due to cracked glass or have hardware issues), so I have to use a Windows Phone (Lumia 635) in the meantime while I look at my options with phones.
I know about the Windows Phone app situation, but I'm not a major app user so I'm not as worried about it. The problem is the iFixit app on Windows Phone has more serious problems then the Android app (see this post: Is it just me or is the iFixit app falling behind?).
The app fails at the login because when you try to log in, the application crashes when it tries to login. It doesn't break the app entirely, but I cannot log into my account. This happens every time now that I have tried to login to my account.
To be fair I do have an AT&T Lumia 635, which has been abandoned by AT&T in terms of software updates. I am currently running version 8.10.12397.895 on the phone, which probably doesn't help (WP 10 is also out of the question).
The reason I suspect iFixit isn't developing this app is because the eMail for filing such a bug is not anything I would expect from iFixit. With the state of Windows Phone, I am going to assume the app is abandoned or more neglected then the Android app. If that's the case, I do understand why (Windows Phone failed as a platform). It's probably even worse for 8.1 phones.
Here is the crash log:
