I'm still trying to get used to using iFixit and I've just discovered this part of the forum. Could someone explain to me the purpose of this meta section?
Also, why don't my details from the normal site appear here?
This is like place for members to discuss the iFixit website and contributors. It enables us members to talk about other things without cluttering the main forum and trying to help keep it a little more private. We do things like report spammers, socialize a little and discuss the future of the answers forum.

If you need to get the attention of actual iFixit employees this is the place to do it. The answers section was set up to be run by volunteers with the knowledge base (most of the time) to solve problems.
