This is probably my favourite post! Meta has become a stream of consciousness. We all need to apply our own filters/think before we post/count to 10, and apply excellent grammar. ps. there is nothing wrong with adding to a current spam alert post or deleting all your previous posts to stop clogging up the answers! Peace, out.
I delete “me toos". Same with people asking a “help” question for their device 2 years later on someone's answered question.. it is cluttering up the advice given. Software is a minefield… having got stuck for a year by a software drama trying to upgrade, I think its every bit as “repair related" as hardware and even more frustrating. Questions can be migrated if they're recent, i agree with OT03 there. People asking where to buy parts? Some are lazy, some need help with naming/identifying. By the time you say “buy it here" the link could be out of date. I think with anything you've got to see each as an individual, some are 15 year olds, some have 15 years experience. Be kind.
@ajcooke01 , thanks for the contributions, keep up the good work. It’s awesome that you’re 14 and helping people repair their items on this site… Some of the people asking for help fixing their devices have been younger . Moderation is a cleaning job..everyone should tidy up, I guess that we should all play our part in keeping the forum relevant/on topic. It’s great you are on the leader board, keep the votes all about quality decisions and don’t focus too much on the quantity. Keep on giving quality answers in the forum to help people- it’s worth far more than being on the moderator board.
hey alec, I took a look at your CF guide. it seems to be missing a highlighted screw in photo 3/photo missing? also I think you can edit this to include the prior steps 9from ifixit) to get to where you are at removing the CF slot. you may wish to add the reassemble steps too.
