Hi @nick , One aspect to consider is that you may first want to check the 5G network coverage of the provider you wish to use. 5G requires a lot more towers to be built (or antenna arrays to be placed on multiple sites) as it has such a short range (350-500 metres) as compared to 4G (~16 kilometres). You may be operating at 4G anyway if you move out of range of the antennas if the 5G coverage isn’t that widespread. It may depend on where you intend to use it most of the time and what for i.e. data usage not telephony, to get the value of having a 5G phone. It does handle a lot more data, faster than 4G but because 5G has a shorter wavelength it suffers more from being blocked by walls, glass etc than the longer wavelengths of 4G and 3G
Hi @sarahw , Welcome to spring! (tis autumn here). Found a voting ring I think or maybe the same person perhaps as it is interesting how they all joined ifixit on the same date (02/09), except the last one shown (02/15). They joined later so maybe the user wasn’t getting enough votes for a “good answer” badge quick enough ;-) This user answers questions and one or more of these users upvote the answer nearly every time within an hour of posting. They never answer any questions themselves but do post comments sometimes about how the “answer” solved the problem for them 3846380 3846374 3846371 3846373 3853086 ——————————————————————————————————————— Just the usual suspect 3866895 Cheers
Hi @sarahw , Off topic but was wondering how to “handle” this user They are very touchy about any criticism of their answers and place all such comments in the Moderation page for deletion. I’m hoping that it won’t escalate as the user starts to answer more and more questions Perhaps the admin could reach out to the user and suggest that it shouldn’t be taken so personally as everybody is entitled to their opinion, as long as it contributes to the answer that is. Cheers
