Answer to "Problems with iFixit store cart"Hallo Alfred!

Answer to "Little correction needed on one iFixit website page"Hi Stéphane! Great catch, thanks for being an eagle eye!! We fixed that, but you can also edit the translations of our wikis yourself, it’s actually the same workflow as for teardowns and guides which you’re already using. Once again, thank you for this one and also for all the translations you did so far. Keep it up! They are helping french-speaking people all around the world fix their broken stuff. All the best! Sandra

Answer to "Fix Kit vs separate Spare Parts"Hi Christopher, Our pricing is based on our purchase prices and usually, there shouldn’t be big differences in the prices you see in the German Store and the ones we have in the US Store. We’re trying to permanently control the prices and, if necessary, redesign. Set articles are usually always somewhat more favorable than the respective individual parts, but I totally agree with what you’re describing in the case that someone already has the tools. The iPhone 7 doesn’t seem to be a single case, so we’re trying to find a better solution for all display kits and can unfortunately not do a quick fix for just this item right now. What we’re discussing is including the adhesive with the screens, similar to how we already do for iPhone batteries, but that change would need some time still. Be assured that we’re very grateful for your reaching out to us and drawing our attention to this unintended discrepancy between pricing and mission. We’re working on it! Thank you!

Answer to "When patrolling edits to guides etc no options to Accept, Deny etc"Hi @jayeff ! It is possible that you get the “You don’t have enough reputation to patrol this edit” even with the high number of rep points that you have, that is when the reputation required to approve changes is set to “infinite”, (maybe that’s why you don’t see any) which we always do for our own guides, the ones written by our techwriting department. However, I thought that as you have moderator’s rights on the platform, you should be able to patrol even those. Can you maybe try with some other iFixit staff guide, such as the Oura Ring 2 Teardown, and see if you can patrol it?

Answer to "How can I add my created device to the Nokia category?"Hi Leon! First of all, thank you so much for creating that new device and the 2 guides for it! When a Device is created, it does not automatically end up in the category from which it was created. To sort it, you should set the category in the upper right part of the window when editing it (in the language it was created in, navigate to the category first to get the correct name): This will also remove the [flag|no area], which is added automatically as long as no category is selected. I think in your case, it might have happened that this Category field was not available, as the necessary reputation for editing this is 500 by default. For this one, I’ve added the category for you and removed the flags, however, there was one thing I noticed: Even if you’d created an English text (which is indeed the best way to proceed, creating the EN device page first and then translating it), you didn’t change your language setting on the top right, therefore the English text was displayed in the German version. (I’ve...

Answer to "Translation complete but still showing incomplete"Hi Philip! It seems that in this case, you’ve inserted the Jimmy-info in the English version first and then afterwards to the Italian version, which was the original. The best way to make that kind of change is to change the original version first and only then add the change to the translated version. The thing is that if the change in the original version is done AFTER you already adapted the translated version, the translation will be flagged as outdated, even if it's correct. (Every time that happens to me, I just go back to my translation and do some minor change, for example in a comma or word order, hit "save" again and then the flag is gone). This is kind of what we did for your current guide now, we made a small correction in English, and now it's also displayed as up-to-date: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/translate/1.... I hope I could help! All the best, Sandra
