@mayer Thank you so so much for all your contributions. I think it's safe to say that they have been, are, and will for a long time help people, and make sure less is wasted. You've been a pioneer in showing the world how the internet is truly used for the common good. No one will ever be able to take that from you and almost everyone on iFixit will come across one of your contributions sooner or later. You've helped build this, this is a great achievement, and we'll be ever so grateful for everything that we can still learn from you!

I'm a bit late to the party but congratulations to you, @mayer, for all of your contributions. I was particularly impressed with how patient you were in coaching all of the kids along in their journey to help repair the world. They burn out quickly but there's a good chance they will find their way back here in the future as they age and mature.
Between that and the encyclopedic knowledge you have shared through the years, you will have left a lasting legacy to the repair community!

Thanks you so much for the remembrance. I actually started answering questions because when I first came to the site and asked my first question the responses were so poor I got angry. This was supposed to be a site where you got good answers. I realized that at the time there were no real Mac experts to give those answers so I started giving them myself. I wanted to give what I had to help people. I have slowed way down in the last two years as heath issues and age have caught up with me. I hope my efforts have helped just a little to make the world a better place and it has been my pleasure to help make iFixit of real value to the world. I am grateful to have been a part of the success of this wonderful site and all the wonderful people that have worked there and especially the relationships that have formed with the wonderful other answer contributors. I drop by a few times a week now to see if there any questions I might be able to aid with. I'm not finished just yet. Love Ya'll.
