Title:

Any ETA on the E7440 battery?

Text:

I have 2 E7440’s I got dirt cheap, but neither included a battery. However, I did find one in the junk laptop I bought for the FHD Touch panel which I tried to make work was sold with one that held a charge, so I figured I was set on the battery problem. However, it has always had an issue with unusual expansion and I did confirm it has a possible cell issue - whatever, it’s a 389+ cycle pack. '''It had 83% health, so it wasn’t like so many of these with low health where it’s a unnecessary risk!'''

However, while I was able to get the top to make it look okay I need to get another one since the OEM flat packs are somewhat known for this exact issue with high cycles and misuse (however, a properly cared for high cycle will probably be fine) and mine was affected. '''In addition, I’ll eventually need it for the other one because I need to update the BIOS at some point to remove the asset tag.'''

Is there an ETA when the E7440 battery will be in stock again? https://www.ifixit.com/Store/PC-Laptop/Dell-Latitude-7000-E7440-11-1V-Replacement-Laptop-Battery/IF244-005?o=1

In addition, I’ll eventually need it for the other one because I need to update the BIOS at some point to remove the asset tag.
