I was looking through some links for iBook g3 graphics chip repair and came across a youtube site of someone taking apart the battery, desoldering all the connections and replacing the old lithium batteries with new.
As my batteries seem only to have a life of 1 hour max after a full charge and this iBook is 10 years old, buying a battery costs more than buying the laptop.
This may not belong on meta but, just wondering what people think about it as a guide to be made for the site, or has anyone done this repair themselves? Would you consider this too dangerous for the average repairman? If I were to buy the 6 batteries and swap them over it would cost me about $10..or buy a battery pack for $+++.
