Site Improvements

  • We’re streamlining the user dropdown menu. We condensed "My Profile", "Edit Billing Info", and "Order History" into a single entry called "My Account". The "Fast Order" option now only displays for Pro customer and we removed the "Create a Page" option.
  • When you’re editing a question in Answers, clicking the "Change" button under "Choose a Device" now opens up the Device Picker and highlights the user's previously selected device. Hopefully, that makes it a little easier to select the appropriate device for an Answer.
  • We added a "Don't see what you're looking for?" banner to the Device Picker that allows you to create a new device—even when your search matches an existing device.

Bug Fixes

  • We fixed a bug where some parts in our store didn’t display the "A-Stock/B-stock/C-stock" option in the dropdown menu. They’re back now, so you can choose the part you want.
  • The international store banner looked wonky when browsing from mobile. They fixed that.
  • We fixed a bug with the Table of Contents on Wiki pages. The sidebar wasn’t spanning the entire height of the page, but it does now!
  • The filters on guide products weren’t working. We fixed that—those filters actually filter now!

New Features

  • We added a 'Rename' button to the orphan manager. Now you can easily update all content referencing the old name to reflect a new device name.
  • We added the Pixel 2/XL and the iPhone X to our Smartphone Repairability List. Go to https://www.ifixit.com/smartphone-repair... to check them out.
