Two links in help don’t work.

https://www.ifixit.com/Help/Categorizati...

The two links under categories don’t work. And why can’t I categorize anything? Is it cause I’m not admin? I now that they go through potrol now.

Hi Padriac, that section is unfortunately not applicable to iFixit users, it's a "behind the scenes" feature. You are allowed to suggest categorization, but it will take an admin to confirm the edit. Since site categorization is a large structural change we leave the final decision to admins, to prevent accidental mixups.

@sam - Is it possible to at least see the tree when you are creating a new device so its populated at the correct level. I have a dickens of a time trying to get devices in the correct place when I make new ones as people post new Q's. Often I can't find it so I can't finish the task. Or at least have a holding area where I can find it to link the Q to until an Admin fixes things.

Hey Dan, the best way to see the tree is just to navigate from ifixit.com/guide to the page you're trying to find, or search for the device and move backwards through the guide categories. We don't have a good tree to show you guys, the one mentioned is for private Dozuki sites, we have 1000x more content than most sites that use it so it's not really viable for moderator use.

@sam - Is there a way to paste the level URL into the field? So as an example I open a second window and find the level finding a similar device and paste the level info (minus the device) to the field. That would work!
