BUG! Or function doesn’t work.

So here’s a problem:

On this site the request desktop site button doesn’t work on iOS safari. If you’re not sure what this here:

So this is the mobile site:

If you click the share icon the click requests desktop it should take you to the desktop version but it doesn’t.

The reason why I want the go on desktop version is cause the location map is not on other users accounts on the mobile. So while I’m using my iPhone I can’t check that to see what time zone that user is on. I like to know that so I can be on when there on.

Hey Padraic,

We don't actually have "desktop" and "mobile" versions of our site. We've just optimized it for mobile by hiding or moving elements based on the width of your display. I'd recommend using landscape mode on your device if it is wide enough, or use an actual computer to access that functionality.

Well even doing that doesn’t work in landscape. My iPhone is 1136x640 display. It’s only 4”s. Then my iPad mini 2 does show it in desktop view.

@evan @paperboypaddy found that a while ago. Tried to push iFixit into a smaller window on my laptop and it looks like the iPhone version. thats a pretty good idea the developers had there... I did realize the create a guide page does not adapt like that though.

@captainsnowball Yep. Same here. @evan is it possible to add a desktop and mobile version of the site instead?
