Time & date stamps in Questions, Answers & Comments messed up!

Can someone look into this I've noticed very strange dates & times which don't make sense!

Here's a question just posted today (a few mins ago for me) https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/3647... Note the date of its posting: POSTED: 01/02/2017 and a comment was posted:12/29/2017 by Veselin Pavlov.

Even here in Meta: How do I upload a photo to an answer I have given? was posted just a few weeks ago has a messed up date as well! I did a test and my answer appears to be OK.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I think it has something to do with different time zone + - DST. Being in Arizona GMT-7 (no DST) I see screwy times very often.... I get eMails from tomorrow, Buy a new toy today, pay for it yesterday.

Wonder what time-zone this server is in ?

@danj what are you seeing that leads you to believe these are fresh questions? As far as I can tell, they're just older questions and the timestamps are correct.

The question from Meta that you linked to has postid=1412, indicating it is very old. (This current post is postid=11713, you can check in the URL.)

Similarly, the Question you linked (O-ring on the crown) has postid=364763. There is an answer to that question that was posted 5 hours ago. The answer's postid=477999. That indicates that  there were 113236 posts between that question and the answer being posted. That difference seems to be indicative that some time passed between those two events. I'd say about a year seems accurate.

@evan - Why did this just percolate up now as new? The history and deleted posts don't show any entries to explain them now showing up.

Did someone do a rebuild or something to the DB?

I'm on here a few times a day and they weren't touched until I posted. Very odd??
