New options for reporting users

I was thinking about this earlier and I wanted to bring this up. If we have options to moderate answers why do we not have options to report users?

Maybe we can implement a system to report users who are breaking the rules of the Answers Forum. Options for reporting can be…

  1. Posting unwanted content
  2. Self advertising
  3. Spam upvoting or completing guides
  4. Scamming
  5. Innapropriate profile picture
  6. Raiding

What are your opinions on this?

@ajcooke01

we already have this. It’s called Remove as Spam/Offensive. It does not matter why it was spam or offensive for as long as it was. No reason to reinvent the wheel.

@oldturkey03 I am saying as like there could be a "moderate" button on profiles. Those would be the reasons why profiles could be moderated.

@ajcooke01 the outcome would be the same. Why add another step to something that will not be relevant to the end result?

by

@oldturkey03 It would be more of a convenience so that we wouldn’t have these large spam folders here and also so that we wouldn’t have to travel back and fourth from the Answers forum to the Meta and so-forth.

by

@oldturkey03 is correct. And the reason we have the spam folder is for the spam that slips through our detection measures and or needs immediate attention (e.g. inappropriate avatars.)
