Size Marking on the Pro Tech and Mahi Drivers kit

I noticed that the markings on the foam where the bits are stored are black, hard to read, may improve by making the marking white or yellow. Black on black label is just a bad idea.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

The same thing happens in the basic kit. It would really be a good improvement. Black text on black background does not usually work well.

Thank you for the feedback. I'll pass this along to our tool development team.

I noticed this when I got the kit too. It's a little annoying. the best way to manage it I've found is to only have 1 bit out at a time so they all stay in the right place.

What I personally do is I eyeball it and see if I got the right bit. If I missed it goes back in.

I also take out the bits I need and do not take any more out.

There are keys/maps to the bits here: https://help.ifixit.com/article/196-bit-...

Most users are happy with the labels and can see them well enough, but we realize that is not the case for everyone and get this feedback regularly. We take all customer feedback seriously and have tested many solutions to make them more legible, including screen printing, printed overlays, and lasering through to a contrasting color. Given the compact nature of the kit and the space available for labeling, the current solution has been the best. If we made the kit much bigger with more space between the bits so there was more room for the labels we might be able to do something bigger and with more contrast. But at the current tiny size, lasering them is the most legible and long lasting solution.
