Is it normal for replacement batteries to display "Service"?

I bought an iPhone SE battery nearly a year ago, and from the day it was installed it has said "Service" while still supporting peak performance. This is expected, correct? I saw a thread here a few days ago that made me feel like it wasn’t.

When Apple added this "feature", most batteries in the aftermarket gave this problem.

The most recent batteries of a certain quality seem not to have this problem. In windows I used U3tool before, I am not sure if it is still working, but it indicated very well the state of the battery.ç
