Why do screen replacement prices go up?

Is the price of the ifixit screen replacement for the iPhone 6s going up? I could’ve sworn it was cheaper a few days ago, and also you can’t buy the individual screen anymore, just the fix kit. Am I imagining the fact that you could buy just the screen a few day ago?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi @rray,

I’ll look into your question about if the prices have been changing and I’ll get back to you as soon as I find your answer.

In the mean time, I found our parts listing for the iPhone 6s screens. I wasn’t sure if you had the 6s or 6s Plus, so I’m linking both:

iPhone 6s Screen Replacement

iPhone 6s Plus Screen Replacement

I found these by using second drop down menu on the right (below the color selection) to change the selection from the kit to just the screen.

I hope this helps!

Also bear in mind that the price seems high on paper due to the age of the phone, even when it hasn't changed :/. Just my 2 cents from the fixer side - I'm hesitant to "fix" a 6/6s screen beyond a screen protector due to the cost unless I ABSOLUTELY had to.

The 6 is objectively "old", so it may seem expensive if you're just looking at the price of a used phone vs LCD, even on the higher GB phones.
