Replacement battery - will they last at least 3-4 hours

I have previously purchased a 'new' battery from another retailer for my mid 2012 MacBook Pro. It did not hold it's charge any longer than the one I wanted to replace. They honoured their guarantee and supplied me with a second replacement battery. Again with the same result. They were willing to replace again, but I declined. I don't want to upgrade as this unit does all I want it to do. Can you guarantee that a new battery from you will at least last 3-4 hours with non intensive workload or are all batteries for this age model as old as my Mac?

Answer this question I have this problem too

The problem might not be the battery.

It could be a motherboard problem.

Have you checked it?

Hi @paulsutcliffe1944,

That’s a tough question because everyone has a different subjective opinion on what a “non-intensive workload” is. What I can tell you is that our inventory is newly manufactured by our supplier on order and we turn over our inventory on this model pretty quick — so the battery you’d receive from us shouldn’t be older than 6 months.

I hope this helps. Let me know if I can answer any other questions!
