It's the same for Europeans. I'm from Norway and have to use the EU store. Very limited availability, even on parts that are readily available in the US store.

Not at all, we value our northern neighbors. What were you looking for in particular?

Was this the link you were viewing?

Update: I was able to connect with our customer support team:

We ship to Canada from the USA (so Mike Kennedy will be able to purchase what they need). However, we can't ship batteries internationally due to federal shipping regulations.

In regards to other regions, those storefronts are smaller, so the inventory selection is smaller. As the stores increase in size, we are gradually offering a larger inventory selection.

I know this doesn't completely solve your issue @geirandersen , but hopefully it gives you a little more insight into why things are the way they are in the EU.

@krisrodriguez @geirandersen Mike Kennedy maybe instead of complaining about it we could try and make it better. If the Canadian or the EU store are not as well stocked, are there any import/export restrictions that may be getting in the way? Czarina can you shed some light on this?

@oldturkey03 , I definitely can. Just looking for a little more information from either @geirandersen or Mike Kennedy so I can take it to the right department and find out how we can fix it. Any suggestions?

@krisrodriguez if its inventory then it‘ll be up to the powers that be. Can‘t fix that unless there are some items that are selling like hot cakes. If it is competition then we have to all work on getting the word out about the superior quality compared to the highly subsidized merchandise coming out of Asia. If iFixit can create the cult like following that Apple has and maintain the loyalty to their customers it could all be possible. In the meantime we should organize some grassroots solution on how to get the merchandise to our international colleagues

@oldturkey03 @krisrodriguez I was looking through the available parts for iPods, and whilst there's a plethora of parts available on the US store, just a few batteries are available in bot the EU and the UK store.

I was looking for a display for an iPod Nano 2nd gen, which you have in the US store, but not in my options.

It's not a complaint from me, at all, I fully understand that it's hard to stock warehouses around the world.

@oldturkey03 , I completely agree. I'm going to share this thread internally to see what we can do.

@geirandersen, thank you for the detailed information and I apologize that the EU options have been limited. This is definitely something we need to look into. Let me see what I can do.
