There are two Mazda 5 devices, so the one without the picture needs to go.

@guardian10 , all done :)
There are 2 Mac Pro CPU guides,
And this one is the worst of the two.

@beanman56, thanks for pushing this out to us again. We've discussed it internally and have decided that this guide, along with the other two offer enough differences to help along in the repair process. We won't be removing it.
The point of this thread is to identify guides which cause confusion for fixers. If you run into any of those, feel free to post them here.
Hi iFixit team,
I found another duplicates of the same Sony laptop.
There is two device pages wich concern the exact same device :
One page (the correct one) use the correct model number for this device which is : Sony Vaio VPCCW21FX
The other one (the incorrect one) use the PCG reference instead of the model number. The PCG reference is not intended to be used as a model number or as a specific laptop reference and using the PCG reference to identify a device is a mistake that will prevent users to find the correct spare parts for their Sony laptops.
How do we merge these ones ? (last year, I opened a thread for a similar case for another sony device that was solved if it can help : Two guides, same laptop, different authors)
Note :
It seem's the page with the correct model number in it's title is the one having more repair guides and having more steps (so more details) : Sony Vaio VPCCW21FX
But the other device page (the incorrect one) has a little teardow guide the first (the correct one) doesn't have.
Thanks for reading :)

@es_six, thank you for submitting this. I have to pass this along to the tech writers to see how they want to proceed. When it comes to merging and re-categorizing, we want to make sure our in-house team is aware. I'll follow-up with you after I hear back.
@krisrodriguez Thank you for examining this duplicate :)

@es_six, you're welcome :) We're still waiting to hear back. I'll comment here when I have more information.
@es_six, apologies for the delay on this. These guides actually belong to our EDU department. They are deciding how to move forward with these. Thank you for finding them.
@krisrodriguez , no worries, so I will wait for the EDU department decision.

there are 2 of the gameboy color teardowns, and this one has low quality images
https://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Game+Boy...
there is already a lenovo 100e 2nd gen so this one can go because this one only has 1 repair guide while the other has 10.
1 Comment:
@tay0_0, these images will suffice for now. Do you happen to have this device? If so, you might consider taking better images to update the guide. Did you flag the GameBoy guide for deletion?
When posting about duplicate guides, it would be really helpful if you can include both links so that I can compare the two. Could you send me the other link to the Lenovo 100e?
Idk if this counts, but this guide is basically redundant and outdated, because I made seperate up to date gudes for bootloader unlocking and safe mode.

@sedorr, Thanks for sending this over. I'm going to talk to our tech writing team about this before taking any kind of action. I'll follow-up with you.
@sedorr, our tech writing team took a look and agreed with your findings. They've gone ahead and archived the outdated guide and modified the intro to point to your two new guides.

@sedorr, thank you! I've gone ahead and nested it into the PC Desktop category.

@sedorr, thank you. These guides will remain as is. They belong to our EDU department. The students who work on these are instructed to create their guides/wikis like this. I appreciate you reaching out about them. Please continue to let us know if you run into more like this.
@sedorr, I've gone ahead and deleted the two less complete items. I've gone ahead and left the more complete item as active.

@tay0_0, do you have a link? I've searched our site and only see four results.

These two cover the same thing and even use some of the same pictures.
@krisrodriguez or maybe @claire17 ?

Good catch @sedorr ! I'd say we can archive the second one (less accurate and complete) and keep the first! What do you think @krisrodriguez ?
@krisrodriguez @sedorr done :)
@claire17, thank you :)
There are 2 guides for adjusting the gamecube's laser power
https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Nintendo+Ga... (the good one)
https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Optical+Las... (the ifixit equivalent of a crime scene)
#2 is just the laser replacement guide with another step duct taped to the end. As a result, it has access to the potentiometer at step 10, but continues for an extra 6 steps of pointless disassembly before getting to the important part at step 17
1 Comment:
I added a warning to the intro of #2, so hopefully anyone who tries to use it won't have to go through the extra steps

@sedorr, thank you. We'll keep these live. The first corresponds to our store and the second one corresponds to a guide. Thank you for pointing it out though :)

These two are also the same
https://www.ifixit.com/Item/Pozidriv_PZ2... (most complete + correct title)
https://www.ifixit.com/Item/Phillips_scr... (wrong title)
these two cover the same tool the same
1 Comment:
@sedorr, thank you for these :)
Let's go ahead and leave these as is. One is complete but the other connects to a guide and we don't want to break someone's work.
