Pull tab adhesive Strips

Trying to change a battery out on a MBA 13" 2018. It uses the Pull tab adhesive Strips on both the speakers and the battery. Replacement strips are not included with the replacement battery and alcohol does not work well on this adhesive as it did in the past adhesives. Please include adhesive replacements with your parts. BTW, what kind of engineer puts a connector under the logic board that requires complete disassembly to replace a battery? Turns a 5 minute job into a 2 hour job.

Thanks for the feedback @mayer. Do you mean that there were additional spots you had to remove adhesive to get to the battery? So once you installed the battery you still had more things to stick back down?

@amber The speakers use the same kind of strips. I ended up using iMac adhesive strips to do the job. Had to take two nitroglycerin tablets just to keep my blood pressure down. If your guide producers actually had to complete a replacement they would know about these issues.

@amber I think what he means is that he didn't realize that adhesive wasn't included the the battery fix kit for this iMac. I think there should be adhesive included, but it is stated in the listing that adhesive isn't included.

Hey Mayer,

Thanks for the input! We relayed your message to our kitting team and will begin adding some kind of adhesives to those kits to reattach the speakers.
