@amber it’s part of what I do at my current job, yes. But my main reason for writing about it was my general interest in computers and learning as much as I can about server specific hardware.

I'm glad to see someone is drumming up conversation about one of the pages I got to write for the site. I like the feedback that you've provided on how we can improve the page, and definitely think it can be a core driving force for expanding the knowledge that is there already.

I definitely think that their is a question of 'how can we encourage users to contribute their knowledge and experiences in repairing and maintaining these servers?' I also think two of the questions that I would like people's thoughts on are...

  • What is already there that is drawing people into the Server page? (I.e. How are people finding the page/how did they get to the page?)
  • Is their any information that hasn't already been detailed in your discussion question that would give the page more gravity to draw people in?

I also agree with you too, and would love to see feedback for improving the page.
