Is there a 2024 bug catcher?

I've come across a bug or two recently, so wondering if there's a new bug catcher for 2024 or if the old one is still in use.

Answered! View the answer I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@darthmango , we'll get that new bug catcher up soon. For now, you can put the bugs that you found here in this thread.

@krisrodriguez

This first one was a few days ago, so it might have already been caught

Now I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure votes aren't supposed to be able to go negative. I tried refreshing the page 2-3 times with no change.

Might also be worth noting the vote order changed when it finally went through

Second one's pretty minor, probably just a difference in timezones. I found a guide that (at the time) was updated tomorrow

@darthmango, you see the first one if one of the votes was against the "Remove as Spam" 1nay 4 yay = 5votes. Until the nay changed to yay and it was removed.

@oldturkey03 but it wasn't removed, the vote failed. When I got to it, it was at 0/5: 2 nay 2 yay. I clicked nay, and it went to -1/5 (Negative one out of five). That's not supposed to happen, right?

by

@darthmango I have had it happen before. Yes, it is a bit quirky but not unusual. Mods sometimes override the votes because there maybe reason why not to remove it as Spam. So there may only be 4 votes but sometimes mods use superpowers :-)

IT would be nice if we could leave some sort of comment as to why we may disagree. My disagreements are most commonly related to time. I do not delete anything younger than 3 months, I do not accept any answer younger than 3 months etc. Anytime you have Mods or Admins in the midst of it, it gets tricky :-)

@oldturkey03 I try to follow a 6 month rule unless there's reason to break it and go for it sooner. Same with questions that are more or less helplessly bad.

As far as a comment box it could be helpful but realistically there's usually clues why. Like if I am cleaning up years of old abandoned questions and I see 10 very similar ones (ex: Chinesium projectors) and I have answered 1 or 2 and explained the common failure. I may not want to address the other 8-9 but if say @oldturkey03 disagrees I'm willing to fill in on the rest within reason. It doesn't mean I will do all 10 but if he feels seeing it more will be worthwhile I would be willing to do a few more. That said I would not mess with anything that's too vague to get right or it's super old. A comment box could better indicate which one he thinks warrant additional attention and which ones he thinks we can let go of.

@nick the toughest ones are actually the Spam/Offensive because those are not always clear cut. In dubio pro reo and I do not like someone with a 100 fine :-( unless it is blatantly obvious and absolutely needed.
