Guide editing improvements and feedback

Hi, as a new user, I have some feedback about site utility for editing guides and the like.

  • First, the ability to ctrl/⌘-K a link is really nice, but is currently limited to comments and cannot be used in guides, so please consider implementing it in guide editing as well.
  • Comments made on an article can only be edited within five minutes of posting, which seems like an arbitrary and extreme limit to me. I recently commented on a repair article and had something more to add after posting, but by the time I was done formatting the original comment, I had to make a new comment because editing the first was disabled. Please consider extending this limit or changing comment editing to wiki-style, as guide editing operates.
  • Lastly, when I edited this guide the other day to clarify that each replacement part was optional (as a guide for multiple different repairs which also includes a contact cleaning guide), I looked on the pending changes page which said that this edit "result[ed] in no net change and should be denied." This might be due to the "optional" toggle being such a small change that it was not classified by the system as a change.

I'm looking forward to fixing things for years to come. If this isn't the right place to post, please tell me the right one. Thanks for reading.

@isak99 , this is definitely the right place and these are all very good suggestions.

We're really sorry the site has been a little tricky to navigate and I really appreciate you making the time to share your feedback with us.

I'll pass your feedback along to the rest of the team.

The site is pretty easy to navigate really, it's just the few things that could be improved. Thanks!
