Does iOS 18 fix the parts pairing with iPhones?

Jessa just released a YouTube vid which shows the Beta release doesn’t fix the issue! While you can replace the part, you still need to configure the device so the replacement part is allowed. So… is this a Beta issue? Or Apple still needs to do more work (server back end?)

Does IOS18 Fix Parts Pairing for Face ID? UPDATE: IT WORKED!!!!!!

While she was focused on the FaceID illuminator aspect which might require a fresh scan of once face as the saved light pattern could be different than what the phone has for the FaceID data that should be possible to redo (she didn’t try that within the vid). Others report they have replaced parts without difficulty.

Now the big Q in my mind what gives with macOS and iPadOS?? Will we get the parts pairing removed in them.

Are you able to get the major tech houses to post something so the Joe/Jill Public also see it’s still a work in progress and add a bit of heat under Apple to get it done and done well.
