Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold Fix kit Outer Screen Adhesive Missing?

I ordered the Fix Kit, which says "This kit contains all the parts and tools needed to complete this guide." So I purchased it and after delivery today, began fixing it.

But while following the [invalid guide link], I now reach step 18 where it asks me to use the "Perimeter Outer Screen Adhesive". I check the box thoroughly and this component isn't there. I check the part link and see that it is NOT included in the Fix Kit?!

How is such a vital part not there in the complete Fix Kit?! How am I supposed to attach my screen to the device? Do I not require it, then why is it in the guide?
