M4 Mac mini third party storage upgrade now available!

https://expandmacmini.com has released a new “SSD” for the M4 Mac mini with a 2TB drive priced at $259 USD. For now only available as a 2TB drive for the regular M4 minis and not the M4 Pros. I don’t know anything about them but this is very promising and honestly making the M4 mini very tempting for me, especially being $540 cheaper than Apple. Has been a few promising reviews released online but I have no personal experience or even knowledge about this until about 15 minutes ago.

I think it’s a good effort to get deeper storage for less! The only thing I do wonder is if Apple messes this up with an OS update. Remember the iPhone display mess up after they updated iOS a few years ago.

From what I understand it would be pretty tricky to break this since they are reverse engineered boards and the same NANDs that Apple uses. But I definitely wouldn’t put it past them.
