Character limitiations when adding comments

I just used the procedure they had for a battery I bought and found several details that need to be added to it. Unfortunately, IFixIt won't allow me to put a lengthy comment in. Who can I contact about this? They are critical details people need to know about.

It would also be very helpful if we could attach pics to our comments.

Update (07/24/25)

Why should I (or any user for that matter) take time to cut and paste chunks of a comment????????? Explain that logic to me. ifixit's interface should allow long comments to be pasted into one comment box. It just defies any logic. I will not be doing that, and it's unfortunate because I have a lot of detail to add for a battery replacement.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi @carolinahiker,

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience — and I hear you on the comment limit.

Since iFixit is a wiki, the best way to share detailed feedback is to edit the guide directly. That’s exactly what it’s built for. If you’ve got important info that others should know, adding it straight into the guide ensures it’s front and center — not buried in the comments.

Just click “Edit” at the top of the guide and you’ll be able to update the steps, add notes, or include photos if you’ve got them.

Let me know if you have any questions or need help getting started.
