Part-Only Battery Does Not Come with Display Adhesive?

I'm needing to replace the batter on my iPhone 7 Plus. I have all the tools to do the replacement. I just need the battery part, and a new display adhesive to restore the water resistance when I put the display back on.

Can I confirm that the part-only battery does not include the display adhesive?

It seems that the full kit is the same cost as the battery + display adhesive. I get a bunch of tools I don't need on top of that.

The part only battery doesn’t include the display adhesive. iFixit only includes the perimeter display adhesive in the full kit or when you buy it separately. The battery only option typically comes with the battery and the pull tab adhesive for the battery itself, but not the seal that restores water resistance.

If you’re planning to keep your phone’s water resistant seal intact, you’ll want to buy the display adhesive sticker separately. It’s only a few dollars and is required if you want the phone to seal properly again after opening it.
