Did I paste/put too much metal paste on my PS5

btw, I put paste on to sides.

. My ps5 now turn on and off seconds after the blue light comes on.

Hey,

yes that’s definitely too much thermal paste / liquid metal, especially since you applied it on both sides.

For the PS5 APU you only need a small amount in the center. The pressure from the heatsink spreads it out evenly.
