Front Sensor cable iPhone 15 pro max

My front camera only works properly when recording videos; when I try to take photos, it takes a very long time.
At the moment, I do not have the front sensor cable.
If I purchase a new one, will the fixing cover be included with the sensor?
And will this solve the photo issue?

Thank you.

1. Will the fixing cover be included?
Usually NO. The “front sensor cable” you buy is typically just the flex cable itself. The metal fixing cover (the small bracket that holds the connector in place) is a separate part. Check the product description carefully—if it doesn’t mention the cover, assume it’s not included. You may need to reuse the one from your original phone or buy it separately.
2. Will replacing the cable solve the photo issue?
Possibly, but not guaranteed. Your symptom—photos lag while videos work fine—is more often a software or logic board issue than a simple cable failure. Before buying parts, try these first:
Force restart: Volume Up → Volume Down → hold Side button until Apple logo appears.
Update iOS to the latest version.
Test in safe mode or reset camera settings.
If none of these help, the cable could be the culprit, but it’s not the only possibility.
3. Warning
The front sensor assembly (including Face ID) is paired to your motherboard. Replacing it may cause Face ID to stop working permanently. Proceed with caution—or better, take it to an Apple Store or authorized repair center.
