Questions about patrol edits
I have a question regarding the internal mechanics of patrolling edits and managing the hierarchy of device pages on the site. Currently, my reputation score is 1500+, which allows me to do basic patrol edits. However, I have run into a few system limitations that I would like to clarify with the administration.
- Moderating edits in the patrol queue. Despite having 1500+ reputation points, I still see many pending edits from users with much lower ratings that I cannot accept or reject. The moderation buttons for these specific edits are simply unavailable to me. Could you please clarify why the system blocks me from reviewing these pages? Is it because they have a maximum Permission Threshold (set to infinity) or are they strictly locked for the internal Guide Team?
- Organizing bot-generated pages and category hierarchy. I am aware that many new pages are automatically generated by a bot and sent to a special backend queue/form. From there, specific users who were granted permission by the administrators sort them into categories and subcategories (via Related Categories), which then go through admin approval before hitting the public site. I would really love to actively help the community with sorting these new pages and cleaning up the site's overall hierarchy.
What is required for a user with 1500+ reputation to be granted access to this special form and get permissions to manage Related Categories for new device pages?
I would be very grateful for any clarification on these mechanics or if someone from the Guide Team could review my account for these extended permissions so I can help the project grow
Is this a good question?
