iPhone Screen Refurbishment with OCA Machine Help

Hi Guys.

I hope i'm asking in the right place firstly & i'm hoping some of you guys may be able to help.

I have been running my Apple devices repair business now coming up on 2 years now & its now very much taking off.

I have recently been attempting to refurbish my own iPhone screens but i'm finding it very frustrating.

I decided after a lot of research to go for using OCA adhesive instead of using LOCA.

So i purchased a semi automatic glass remover & a machine which laminates & removes the bubbles in one this one

http://www.epartsbuy.com/details/Latest-...

I have perfected the glass removal & cleaning the LCD I can get the OCA onto the LCD bubble free (could do with any suggestions on applying it straight can't really justify spending another £300 on a device which applies the OCA)

My main problems are i still get bubbles between the glass & the OCA sheet its usually just one in one of the corners which is infuriatingly frustrating & then when i do get one which is bubble free i get discolouration.

I have followed every you tube video using these machines i wish the people who sells these machines had some sort of tech support or the company that manufactures them had somewhere to resolve user issues like this.

Most common i get bubbles & discolouration top left corner of the screen i really can't figure out why.

I do get some screens which work perfectly but its very hit & miss.

Anyone out there have any experience with these machines & have you had these issues?

Thank you

Hey Kenny

Did you ever find a solution to this? I am just starting to refurbish LCDs and I am having the same issues you are describing, everything seems to go perfect but a lot of times I have bubbles that just won't come out. How do I minimize this from happening?

Most people in the repair community that bought all the OCA stuff a year ago are giving up and selling off their equipment now. A few still do it. A lot of people still do LOCA with mixed results and accept a certain rate of warranty returns as part of the business model.

There is still a pretty open niche in the LCD recycling business if you can figure it out.
