Currently we carry the 3M solution in a 3 mm wide version, as that is the most requested.
We are in talks with the manufacturers of "Red Tape" about some products.
Color aside, (clear vs. black) do you feel Red Tape has an advantage over the 3M tape?

Eric, get someone like KK to take a proper iFixit photo of yourself so we don't have to guess if you work for them. Even a selfie would work. Or get kimarre to do your face if you want to remain in the witness protection program.

More than a thosand techs will agree with me that red tape is better than the 3m black tape.
I have both tapes for diffrent types of repairs. Just wanted to see if you guys will get it soon because i been recommending red tape to few people on ifixit forums and i couldnt find it on the ifixitstore to link it.

@mayer lol the brand is Red Tape. I first started using them for the 3g and 3gs glass replacements i dont know if you remember they used to come out with the clear 3m tapes when you purchase the glass and there was also Custom Red Tape for the 3g and 3gs as well sold seperatedly the 3m tape will not keep the glass down will keep popping up and the Red tape kept the screens down 100 times better . i also use them for ipod touch 4th gen and android phones when doing glass replacements and iPads. If you used the stock 3m clear tape that comes in every ipad screen you buy,once you install it and when you removed the screen you can easily prying up with your hands. Now The Black 3M Tape is worst when you use it on ipads ipods and cellphones as soon as you get the same device back and you remove the screen leaves the whole frame with Black adheasive mess makes it hard to clean.
The Red Tape is Just The Best i recommend it if you havent try it.
