Shipping Costs to Canada?

$35.00 not including exchange rate, to ship a $10.00 part that might weight 1 oz is excessive. I need the part though and can't wait a month for standard shipping. There must be a more reasonable timeline between the two options. The third option that costs an additional $10.00 (approx.) actually takes longer than the $35.00 rate which makes no sense at all, and it takes longer to get to Canada. Could there not be an option between 3 days and a month that is a more reasonable price? I would be willing to wait a 7-10 day timeline for a sensible price. Additionally, I am involved in shipping equipment overnight and the price isn't this high. For the $35.00 fee I would think this should be overnight?

Love your site but having a very hard time actually committing to the purchase!

Note, not questioning the exchange rate, that's out of your control.

Your concerns are valid.

We're constantly looking at ways to streamline our shipping services and make the costs to the customer cheaper. In the near future we're looking to utilize a few distribution centers to make shipping both faster and cheaper.

Shipping fees are set by the carrier and iFixit literally makes nothing on the sale for shipping. These options and prices are what the carrier (FedEx/USPS) have told us they are willing to accept.
