I want to buy Apple repair toolkit. Any suggestions?

Hi. I want to buy a repair toolkit for my apple devices. I want to buy once to have all devices covered: an iPhones 4s-6s, iPads 2,3,air, also MacBooks 2011-2015 and iMacs 2011-2015. I don't want to buy "general electronics repair kit", just apple-related tools, openers, etc.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks!

Hi there! We don't carry any single toolkit with every tool necessary for every Apple product, but this list should have you completely covered:

  • The Pro Tech Toolkit includes all of the bits you'll need for any Apple device, the Jimmy, opening tools and picks, tweezers, spudgers, and a suction cup good for iPhones and iPads.
  • To soften the adhesive to remove an iPad display, you'll need the iOpener. You can buy the iOpener alone or in a kit, but most of the tools in the kit already exist in the Pro Tech. The only extra tool the kit has are Plastic Cards, used for prying up iPad batteries. You can just use a couple of old credit cards or hotel room keys if you have them instead :)
  • For iMacs before 2012, you'll need a pair of Heavy-Duty Suction Cups to pull the display off from the magnets holding it down.
  • For post-2012 iMacs, you'll need an iMac Opening Wheel to cut the adhesive holding the display in place. However, you might wait to buy that until you need it, because it comes with our replacement adhesive kits, which you'll need to reapply to complete the repair. We sell replacement adhesive kits for 27" iMacs and for 21.5" iMacs.

I'm pretty sure that's it, but someone please correct me if I missed anything!
