Aftermarket screens on iFixit

I noticed there are price differences between EU store and US store for iPhone screens. The US store states that the screens are "Aftermarket" but the EU store doesn't specify the quality. So how is the quality for these screens? Are there any differences between the EU and US parts, besides the prices?

I am a iFixit Pro member, and I am not sure what is the difference between the EU and US store. The stock is different, and the prices are different. To me, it seems that the discount is bigger on US store than EU store for iFixit Pro members.

What is aftermarket quality iPhone screens?

Is it safe to purchase these parts?

iFixit US sells two types of iPhone displays:

The first type, designated as “Choice” in our store, is a display with an OEM LCD. While the LCD is made by one of Apple’s OEMs, the small parts and connectors are aftermarket, so this display is officially called a “hybrid” display.

The second type, which is the standard option in our store, is an aftermarket display. It is made to the same specifications as an OEM LCD, but was manufactured by a third party, not by an Apple OEM.

iFixit offers a lifetime warranty on both types of displays. Additionally, both options go through the exact same quality control process. The return/defect rate is very similar across both types of display. We are confident that both options are a very high quality, which is why we're willing to offer a lifetime warranty.
