general opinion about repairability of MacBook 2007
Text:
have been thinking about repairing a laptop/mac for a while and there is a water damaged macbook 2007 (2.0ghz) finishing today with no bids for £0.99..everything is still inside but untested/unopened..
no.1...it's not for the junk competition although it sounds like it might be only good for junk.
no.2..it's only my second go at repairing something like this (the first was only the i/o so doesn't count)
no.3.. I'm wanting to learn but not wreck everything in the process. It'd be good for parts etc for another one?
what I'm asking is whether this is something with loads of pitfalls and traps for the unwary, is it something to try later ie start with something easier. ( I know many people fix their own things having never done it but you guys are here just for little old me to ask these questions so I will) any hints or tips greatly appreciated.
btw how successful are waterdamage repairs on laptops (iyho..)

any opinion about g5 imac? (a1058) I've looked at the guides and it seems straightforward enough.
