Great work. But see the post below.

Anyone else think apple makes it look way to easy to disassemble an iPhone?

Seems like a good idea. @kyle what do you think of having this post on meta?

I think it’s a good idea.

You have an iPhone Aiden?

by

Yes I do. Why?

by

Just wondering.

by

Sure, I like it! Creating a lot of new threads makes it harder for us to see the important posts. Keeping the more fun conversation to a few threads will streamline our workflow.

@pccheese @oldturkey03

So you may have noticed I changed my profile picture multiple times.

It doesn't look right though...

It doesnt fit in... Any ideas? I can't think of a new profile picture.

@kyle and @paperboypaddy you may want to unsubscribe so that you aren't notified every time someone says something, and only get notifications when someone mentions your @ name.

It took me too long to realize what your current meta photo is! I'd recognize good ole GLaDOS anywhere though!

by

Looks fine to me.

by

Thanks guys! it didnt seem to fit in as all the other profile pictures are bright colored while mine is more dark.

by

@captainsnowball The brightly colored ones are what we default the avatars to if the user doesn't set one. Be an individual!

by

@captainsnowball let your Avatar speak to who you are (or want to be)! It is going to be your persona.....:-)

Looks normal enough... what are you trying to show me?

by

Aren’t there supposed to be a number list? It’s cutting the numbers off.

by

Nope, I used a bullet list there. It would probably be better to number it though, now that I think about it. then you can say "take a look at rule #(blah)"

by

See it has # but it’s not showing numbers. Is this an issue?

by

I posted an image in your question @paperboypaddy You don't see the numbers?

Hey Guys! I may not be visibly around on iFixit. I'm still there though! I've been making a ton of guides and have a few on my waiting list. I've been working in the Windows category if you want to check it out. If you need me (for some reason. I can't think of anything that would require me specifically) give just call me out on ifixit or meta!

Some of my lesser used pages I never expected to get many hits do well too. In general, Software pages are general use and likely are used as the main page for most questions.

My Linux Device page that acts as a general purpose information area/distro specific link holder is no different.

hey @evan! looks like the touchID is calibrated through software, as this machine is connected to the lightning port. maybe you guys could figure it out? https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/artic...

maybe you guys at iFixit should save up for this machine and attempt to reverse engineer it?

@captainsnowball on you iFixit profile can you add a time zone to your 5-10 or 6-10? I’m not sure were you are so i can’t tell when your on. Also add am-pm or you may be on 24 hour. By the way I like your meta profile pic!

I took that over the summer. I remember I was messing with photoshop at that time http://www.awosting.com/ Its a camp I go to. same to you! The reason I changed my profile pic to not me, is I wanted to do an experiment and see if people would take me more seriously if they did not know I was that young.

by

Well, nice to know someone reads that stuff.

by

Done. also, why don't you move the location point on your profile a little bit. It is scarily accurate. From the google maps, Seems like you have a white house across from a red house. I recommend you push your location pointer a tad bit over so that its not exact. @evan do we really need the longitude and latitude? maybe just the state or something? Because that's really creepy. @paperboypaddy I'm not trying to stalk you or something. trying to prove a point of how creepily exact that thing is. and one more thing about the profile. I really don't recommend giving out your mobile phone number. even though you can block people, still that's a bit overkill. I created a email account seperate from my normal account, so that I don't get spam or anything on my real account.

by

@captainsnowball I have my age on my profile cause I don’t care if they now how young I am. Also I think I’m smarter than my age, I can talk to adult techys and I now what there talking about. Now I’m wondering how young you are?
