Tool Kit Side-by-side Item Comparisons

I've had a couple small kits for a long while now, but I was looking into just replacing that with a single new kit. I realize that each one is designed for a certain group of repairs, but when I look at the tool kit selection, I'm having a hard time figuring out the right combination of tool kits (or maybe just one?) that covers the most repairs. Normally when I look at took kits elsewhere I'll see a couple small kits and then one big kit (including all the small kits) at a discount. I haven't done a true side-by-side, but I'm not sure that's how the tool kits work here as it doesn't look like the Business kit is a collection of the Pro Tech kits.

I guess the big question is when you compare the Business kit with the combined Pro Tech kits, what's unique to each? Does the combination of the Pro Kits actually equal to the Business kit? (I don't think so, but asking anyway). Is there a cross reference chart for the kits that would clarify the contents at a glance?

From what I see, the Business toolkit is more for break/fix businesses who don't solder and do not need such tools. It's designed to cover common jobs that don't involve soldering like complete board swaps.

While the rest of the kit is good, the included meter is only good for hobbyist work. Cheap meters often have soldered fuses, notable accuracy issues and limited safety if something goes wrong. If you work with AC or want it for a business, replace the meter. For that look at Extech, Amprobe or Fluke (Fluke is the most expensive).

Depending on your need to solder, I'd probably look at the Business toolkit and the soldering expansion set.

That was a good point as I have yet to learn that skill set.
